Closer to home, I’ve played the Monterey Peninsula the right way, Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and The Links at Spanish Bay, back-to-back, the way it was meant to be experienced. And I’ve walked the TPC Scottsdale Champions Course, the same layout the tour professionals compete on during the Waste Management Phoenix Open, with the energy of that venue still in the air.
These weren’t lucky accidents. Every one of those rounds took intention, planning, and knowing who to call.
